How You Can Make a Difference
The annual Direct Appeal campaign is a large part of the PTSA’s contribution to Gunn High School. These funds are put to work in the very school year in which they are raised. Your Direct Appeal dollars allow the PTSA to grant nearly $100,000 each year to the school for investment in technology and other resources to enhance classroom and extra-curricular learning.
The PTSA’s goal for this school year is to increase the number of families participating in the Direct Appeal campaign. What better place is there to invest your tax-deductible, charitable dollars than where your student can benefit directly from your generosity? With enormous pressures on family budgets, we encourage each and every Gunn family to donate whatever amount is within its capabilities — $300 per student is recommended. Every gift, regardless of size, enables the PTSA to augment funding available to Gunn to ensure students and staff have access to state-of-the-art educational resources.
Membership and Direct Appeal contribution forms were distributed in the Back-to-School envelopes in August. The Direct Appeal 2016-2017 form may be returned to the PTSA at any time with a check. Or, you can donate online with paypal here.
Your contribution to the Gunn PTSA may have a multiplier effect if your employer has a gift matching program. Our Direct Appeal chairpersons will follow up to obtain and process the necessary forms.
