There are many opportunities to volunteer at Gunn. Volunteers log thousands of hours at school every year.  We value your contribution and we could not do it without you!

Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents, make new friends, and get more involved in the school. If you are interested in any of the following roles or teams, please contact us at president@gunnpta.org. We welcome new energy and ideas!

• Transportation Safety Representative (TSR) – join other parents in supporting Palo Alto’s Safe Routes to School partnership among the PTAs, PAUSD and the City, supporting the daily commutes of Gunn families choosing healthy, active, sustainable alternatives to driving.
• Ninth Grade Parent Network Coordinators- help build a supportive community of 9th grade parents, both by sharing out PTSA grade specific information to parents and helping organize occasionally PTSA sponsored grade level parent gatherings.
• Reflections Art Program Coordinator- help coordinate the school level PTSA Reflections Art Program.
• Green Team Representative: Be Gunn’s champion for environmental awareness and sustainability! Help coordinate one major Earth Day event and support ongoing green initiatives throughout the year.
• PTSA Executive Board Open Positions: Deputy VP Ways and Means, Deputy Financial Reviewer, Advocacy Chair, Outreach and Inclusion Deputy Chair, Parent Education Deputy Chair

Additionally, PTSA will reach out to families for volunteer help via Konstella, including:

• Student Activities Program Support (planning and supporting activities for students with SEC, as needed)
• Volunteers for PTSA school events such as the Harvest Feast, International Tastings, Staff Appreciation’s events, etc.
