Did you know that you can watch a live stream of “The G,” Gunn’s live morning announcements show, every morning (Mon-Fri) at 8:25am?
Or read the Daily Bulletin (a written version of the announcements) the on the Gunn High School web site?
Enjoy watching, reading, and listening to news through students’ eyes! The First Day of School is Tuesday Aug 13! The first bell rings at 8:25AM and school ends at 2:55PM every day this week. (This is an alternate schedule due to the 4-day week.) In future please check the school calendar in the lower right corner of the Gunn High School website main page for changes to the regular daily schedule.
Final Class Schedules: Returning students, please be sure to check Infinite Campus for your final schedule Monday Aug 12 after 5:00pm since there may still be changes up until that time. (If you are not able to access the student portal, it may be because your Annual Data Update (ADU) has not yet been completed. Parents/Guardians, please check your email (July 31) for instructions for completing the ADU.)
The First Dance of the year is this Friday, Aug 16 from 7-10pm. The theme is “A Golden Night.” Wear Black and Gold and come to the Quad (next to the Student Activities Center) at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $5 with CURRENT GUNN ID and are only available at the door. No Guests for the first dance, and please leave all food and liquids at home or they will be confiscated.
Questions? Call the main office at 650-254-8200. If you aren’t able to get your question answered immediately by our wonderful but extremely busy Gunn administrative staff, try joining and posting to the Gunn High School Parent Facebook Group. The Gunn Back-to-School Packet will be online this year, giving you the option to fill out all forms online and pay for items/make donations by credit card. Printed packets will not be mailed this year.
You will receive an email in advance of the August 5th Back-to-School Packet opening date, giving instructions on how to find it. You can also find the link on both the Gunn and Gunn PTSA websites August 5th.
Prefer a printed Back-to-School Packet or to pay by check or cash? You will be able to download a pdf of the Back-to-School Packet, print the pages you need and return them to Gunn. Alternatively a few packets will be made available for pick-up at the Gunn front office.
Going online will save Gunn and the PTSA over $6,000 in mailing costs, 75,000 sheets of paper, and over 500 person hours!
