Dear Gunn Community,
The resources below may be helpful to your family during this difficult time when we are worried about gun violence and the safety of children in schools. Please communicate with the school if you are concerned about your child; they will help you find support. PTAs across the country are advocating for safe schools.

2017 Gunn Turkey Feast – November 16
The annual Gunn High School Turkey Feast is upon us, and we need your help to make this event a success. Every year we feed over 1600 students, faculty and staff a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. We still need turkeys, pies and vegetarian options. Additional hands are needed for food prep and clean up. Sign up here. Ask your student about this event and they will tell you it’s one of their favorites! No time to cook? Please consider making a monetary donation to help cover the costs of mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy. Make checks payable to “Gunn High School” and write “2017 Turkey Feast” in the memo. Drop-off at the Main Office or mail them to Donna Pioppi, 3920 El Cerrito Road, Palo Alto, CA 94306 or donate online to PTSA’s Paypal address: gunnptsa@gmail.com put “2017 Turkey Feast” in the memo field.

What is “Homecoming”?
What Gunn Events are Planned and Why Should You Care?
Homecoming is a long-standing tradition at many American high schools and colleges. It is a celebration of the school community and is a chance for current students to join with returning alumni and the rest of the school community to develop “school spirit” and camaraderie.
Annual PTSA Homecoming BBQ
Calling All Parent Volunteers – It’s time for the annual PTSA Homecoming BBQ for Gunn students and parents before Night Rally!
We need parent volunteers to help grill, assist with preparation, set-up and serving of the meal. We are also requesting parents to donate pans of brownies, platters of tomatoes, lettuce and onions prepared and delivered to the event by 5:00pm.
If you are available to volunteer the evening of the event, please sign up at here.
