Gunn High School PTSA represents every part of our community — students, teachers and staff, and parents. Our membership works hard on many fronts to ensure that all our students have the opportunity to be successful. We meet monthly during the school year, advocate for our constituents, raise funds to support many projects, and invite all members of our community to take an active role in what we do.
The mission of the PTSA is:
- To support and speak on behalf children and youth in the schools, in the community and before government agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.
- To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children.
- To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools.
Gunn High School PTSA was organized on May 14, 1964 as a tax exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code under a group ruling issued to the PTA Congress of Parents Teachers and Students, Inc.
